Dear Fellow Rotarians,
Greetings!
Governor Monthly Letter (GML) continues to serve as a vibrant platform that informs, inspires, and connects every member of the Rotary family. Each edition reflects the essence of Rotary by showcasing service, leadership, fellowship, and innovation while highlighting the collective achievements of our clubs and members. More than a chronicle of activities, GML celebrates Rotary’s enduring commitment to creating positive and sustainable change in communities across Nepal and Bhutan. Through its pages, we recognize accomplishments, share best practices, and strengthen our shared vision of Service Above Self.
May, observed as Youth Service Month, placed special emphasis on empowering young people as leaders, changemakers, and active contributors to society. This edition highlights a wide range of youth-focused initiatives across District 3292, including Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) programs, Interact and Rotaract activities, youth engagement projects, and leadership development opportunities that nurtured the next generation of community leaders.
The month was also marked by several important district events aimed at strengthening leadership and enhancing service effectiveness. The President-Elect Learning Seminar (PELS), Club Leadership Learning Seminar (CLLS), and Grant Management Seminar successfully equipped current and incoming leaders with the knowledge, skills, and tools necessary to lead impactful clubs and sustainable projects. These programs reinforced Rotary’s commitment to leadership excellence and effective stewardship of resources.
Another significant highlight was Road Safety Week, during which clubs across the district organized awareness campaigns, educational programs, rallies, and community outreach activities to promote safer roads and responsible behavior among citizens, particularly youth and students. These initiatives demonstrated Rotary’s growing role in addressing public safety and community well-being.
This edition also features the district governor's official club visits, which continued to inspire members, strengthen club engagement, and foster collaboration throughout the district. In addition, readers will find stories from a diverse range of club service projects in health, education, water and sanitation, environment, community development, and humanitarian assistance, reflecting the breadth and depth of Rotary’s impact at the grassroots level.
We extend our sincere appreciation to all Rotarians, Rotaractors, Interactors, and partners whose dedication, leadership, and service continue to transform lives and strengthen communities. Together, we are empowering youth, building capable leaders, advancing meaningful service, and creating lasting change for a brighter future.
Yours in Rotary,
